Disney Wonder is the second ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet, delivered in 1999. Wonder is the sister ship to Disney Magic and part of the Magic‑class series, built by Fincantieri Marghera in Italy. The ship was christened in Port Canaveral, Florida, on 15 August 1999, with Tinker Bell serving as the symbolic godmother. The maiden voyage followed on 15 August 1999, beginning regular cruises to The Bahamas and later expanding to itineraries in Alaska, the Mexican Riviera, and the Caribbean.
