Queen Victoria was ordered in 2004 as part of Cunard’s modern fleet expansion and built by Fincantieri at the Marghera Shipyard in Italy. The keel was laid in May 2006, launched in January 2007, and completed in December 2007. Queen Victoria was christened in Southampton on 10 December 2007 by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and entered service the following day with her maiden voyage to the Canary Islands. Queen Victoria remains in service today, sailing worldwide itineraries alongside Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, and Queen Anne.
