As the smallest luxury cruise ship afloat, Hebridean Princess offers the unrivaled comfort and refined service of a floating country house with a maximum of 50 guests. Our crew-to-guest ratio is almost one-to-one, ensuring exceptionally high standards. The unobtrusive and friendly service, combined with the personal touch and attention to detail, sets Hebridean Princess apart from other cruise ships; she’s simply in a class of her own. The ship is only in service for nine months each year (March through November) and for the remaining three months each year she undergoes extensive maintenance and refurbishment to keep her in tip-top and immaculate condition. Hebridean Princess is an all-inclusive product with all gratuities, shore excursions, and spirits included. We even have our own blend of scotch whiskey! The ship has been made famous by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, who has chartered the ship twice, including for her 80th birthday family celebration.
Our 2016 season features our popular cruises around the isles and lochs of Scotland. Then Hebridean Princess will venture off during the summer 2016 to her first ever visits to Lunga on the Treshnish Isles, Stroma Island in the Pentland Firth and Strachur House, home of Sir Charles and Lady McLean, as well as a return to Orkney and Shetland. With two sailings venturing out of Scottish waters, we look forward to an extended exploration of the Isle of Man in June, a cruise which features several maiden ports of call and excursions. In addition, there is a voyage to Northern Ireland allowing us to enjoy the highlights of the stunning north-east coastline.
Our ‘Footloose’ walking program has been a feature of our sailing calendar for many years and its success has inspired us to introduce other themed itineraries. Our food and drink cruises, Flavours of Scotland, will visit no less than three Michelin starred restaurants. Other themed cruises for 2016 include whisky, gardens, nature and wildlife, heritage, classical music and historical, as well as architectural interest.
The best endorsement for this ship is from the fact that 99% of our guests would recommend the Hebridean Princess to others, and 98% would consider cruising with us again. Most recently, Hebridean Island Cruises has been awarded “Best for Luxury" in the 2013 Cruise Critic UK Editors' Picks Awards, and was featured in Fox News as one of the Top 10 Cruise Lines.
